December has come, and along with it comes the cold weather and snows. This is in fact, the perfect time to be lazy, and sit in front of a campfire, surrounded by friends and family, telling stories and enjoying good food and company.
Unfortunately, the covid-19 pandemic has limited our ability to go out and truly enjoy this snowy weather and the bonfires and camping trips that come with it. But this doesn’t stop us from curling up in blankets at home and watching a movie with a hot chocolate in hand and a bag of marshmallows by your side.
And while this does sound perfect, we’re here to tell you how you can improve this experience.
How? Through Weed Marshmallows!
What are weed marshmallows?
To be honest, weed marshmallows are one of those things you really need to try at least one time in your life. They are just what their name suggests, marshmallows which have been infused with some good quality marijuana.
Why? Well the question you should be asking is why not?
Weed infused marshmallows are the perfect winter edible, and go quite well with coffee, hot chocolate, and eggnog. Not only are they sweet and delicious, but also offer the most exhilarating and memorable high ever. For seasoned weed enthusiasts, no winter can ever be complete without them.
Luckily, making weed marshmallows at home is quite easy and simple. And we’re here to tell you how. So lets get down to it.
Ingredients
Even if you’re new to cooking, this recipe is not that hard to follow. You will need the following ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons gelatin
- 1 cup cold water
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons of cannabis infused oil
You’ll also need the following tools/utensils
- Mixing bowl
- Saucepan
- Whisk
- Spatula
- Cookie Cutter
- Cutting board
Method
Now that you have all the tools and ingredients ready, all you need to do is follow these steps.
- Pour half a cup of water into the saucepan. Add two cups of granulated sugar and heat this solution up to a boil. Soak the Gelatin in the remaining half cup of water and set it aside. This will be used later.
- Once the water and sugar solution reaches a boil, remove it from the heat and add vanilla extract, cannabis oil, and gelatin water to it as well.
- Whisk this mixture using either an electric whisk, or a normal one, until it has a creamy, fluffy texture. It is very important that you do not stop until you’ve made the mixture as fluffy as possible.
- Now sprinkle some powdered sugar to coat your cutting board. This will stop your marshmallow mix from sticking to the board. Pour the mix onto your cutting board, and once it has cooled, use your cookie cutter and cut it into your favorite shapes and sizes.
- Voila, your weed marshmallows are ready. All that’s left is for you to roast them on a stick till they are golden brown, or you can eat them directly after decorating it with sprinkles or chocolate chips.
